Alison King wants to steal Corrie set

'Coronation Street's Alison King wants to nab some of the set's decor before her looming departure.
The 43-year-old actress - who is known for portraying hard-face businesswoman Carla Connor in the long-running soap - is set to bow out of the programme this spring but has admitted she's keen to swipe some of the pictures that hang in the Bistro restaurant before she flees the Cobbles.
She explained: "I'm ready to say goodbye to Carla. But I'm going to miss everyone.
"Half of Carla's clothes are mine so I'll be packing a suitcase. I would love some of the quote plaques that are on the wall of the Bistro but I doubt I would get away with pinching them."
The brunette beauty has teased the factory boss' departure will be filled with tears, explosive rows and a broken heart as she's driven out of Weatherfield by her arch-enemy Tracy Barlow (Kate Oates) on her wedding day as she attempts to keep her drunken fling with Robert Preston (Tristan Gemmill) from her smitten fiance Nick Tilsley (Ben Price).
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said of her alter-ego's big day: "I'm thrilled it's at the Bistro, so we don't have to be on location for days. The wedding might be understated, but the drama won't be."

Joe Swash to have operation on shoulder?

Joe Swash might need to have an operation on his shoulder after he took a nasty tumble on 'The Jump' last month.
The 34-year-old presenter chipped a bone after he fell while competing on the winter sports show a few weeks ago and, although he's yet to have another x-ray, he's convinced there's a likelihood he may need to go under the knife to fix it.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, he explained: "It's alright, it's coming on, and it's a little bit sore. I'm going back to the hospital tomorrow so they can have another look and we can take it from there. I haven't had an operation at the moment but I think when we go back then they'll have another look and they'll be able to see the damage."
Despite the nasty injury, Joe - who was pulled in as the replacement for Beth Tweddle after she broke her back two weeks in - hasn't let it put him off the show and hopes he'll be asked to return next year as an original contestant.
He said: "It was a hard year to do 'The Jump' because there were so many injuries. I don't know why it's getting so much stick because you know what you're letting yourself in for on 'The Jump' before you even hit the slopes. It's a great show, the team and all that, they're all brilliant. If they ask me to do it next year I'll definitely do it next year."
Joe joins the cast of the new family spectacular, 'Mission Impudseyble'. The UK tour starts on March 25 and runs until June 5.

Paul Daniels didn’t know he was dying

Paul Daniels didn't know he was dying.
The magician passed away at his home in Berkshire at the age of 77 after losing his battle with an incurable brain tumour last night (16.03.16), just a month after it was diagnosed, and his wife Debbie McGee says his condition deteriorated so quickly, the former 'Every Second Counts' host didn't realise what was happening.
She said: "Paul didn't know at all. The tumour was pressing on the part of the brain that processes information. So although he was talking and communicating and knowing who I was and everything, he actually wasn't taking in new information, which is actually quite hard to tell.
"On the day he was diagnosed, the tumour had already spread so far that they knew he only had a few weeks to live. Then, in two days he deteriorated from feeling lethargic to having other symptoms, so he actually didn't really know what was going on."
Debbie had vowed her husband - who had three sons from a previous relationship - would enjoy his final days.
She told the BBC: "I cried the whole night [after being told about the tumour] and then I said to myself, right. What would he do in this situation? Right, let's go and find out from the doctors what we are going to do and then whatever time he has left, I'm going to make it the best time possible. And that's what I did. He never saw me cry."
The 57-year-old star - who was Paul's assistant for several years before they wed in 1988 - said she and her spouse had the sort of marriage "most people dream of".
She added: "We had a life that was full of laughter... we were so happy together."

Jamie Oliver to be dad again

Jamie Oliver is to be a father for the fifth time.
The 40-year-old chef and wife Jools - who already have daughters Poppy, 13, Daisy, 12, and Petal, six, and son Buddy, five, together - stepped out at the 'Eddie the Eagle' premiere in London tonight (17.03.16), with the 41-year-old beauty's growing bump clearly on show.
The couple will reportedly welcome the baby into the world this summer.
A source told the MailOnline website: "Jools is radiant and blooming for the fifth time. The baby is expected in August."
Jools admitted in 2012 she was keen to have another baby but the pair planned to wait.
She said: "I want a fifth, but I know it would be wrong. I never get any time to spend with Jamie as it is. He has said give it a couple of years, then maybe we can think about it."
And two years later, her spouse admitted he wasn't as keen on the idea of a fifth baby.
He said: "She is 40 in about 10 days and I took her out and she goes, 'OK are we going to have another kid then?' I said, 'You what?'.
"The woman wants another baby. So watch this space. But with all the power in my body we are not having another baby."
However, a few months later the designer appeared to have changed her spouse's mind.
She said: "There's this Moses basket I designed that I haven't been able to test personally yet. It would be nice to put it to use."

Phillip Schofield had 3 showers after ketchup fight on You’re Back in the Room

Phillip Schofield had to have three showers after he was splattered with ketchup while filming 'You're Back in the Room'.
The 53-year-old presenter brought filming of the new series to a halt in January after hypnotised guests ran riot in the studio and turned his hair pink with the highly-pigmented condiments.
Speaking on 'Loose Women' today (17.03.16), he said: "There was another game when it was fast food. There was ketchup and mustard and I managed to do the whole game without getting covered in it and then hypnotist Keith Barry said [to the contestants], 'When you come back, you'll wonder why you're covered in this stuff and it's all Phillip's fault.' And one woman pointed at me and went, 'YOU!' and they advanced on me and covered me.
"My £2,000 suit was absolutely wrecked and I had to have three showers before we could even continue recording because what I didn't realise is this colour hair [grey] and you squirt tomato ketchup on that and it grabs so it went pink."
Contestants on the hilarious show were sent into a trance-state by Keith and made to believe they were in an American diner and that the mustard and ketchup bottles were shampoo.
The guests obediently rubbed the sticky condiments into their hair before launching an attack on Phillip after they were told by Keith that he was responsible for their messy state.

EastEnders’ heartbreaking baby story affects whole cast

EastEnders' heartbreaking storyline involving potentially brain-damaged baby Ollie has left the cast sobbing off-screen.
Danny-Boy Hatchard - who portrays former army recruit Lee Carter in the long-running soap - has revealed the shocking plot, which sees Mick and Linda Carter's (Danny Dyer and Kellie Bright) son develop a bleed on the brain and suffer several seizures after a recent fall, has affected every actor involved.
He explained to the Daily Star newspaper: "Any kind of storyline that we do that can affect a family, affects us. As actors we actually feel it. We reflect on what people who are going through it must be feeling. It does really hit home when you're covering situations like this. So of course it's emotional. Viewers are seeing how we [the family] come together to deal with it."
But the Carter clan may have a little while to go before they're leaning on each other as the devastating news is set to tear them apart when loveable landlord Mick loses it and throws the blame on to his daughter Nancy Carter (Maddy Hill).
The feud will likely lead to the departure of the tomboy after Maddy announced she is quitting the soap later this year.
She said recently: "It was time for Nancy to take a break from her family and me from 'EastEnders' after having a wonderful time working on the show.
"I was surrounded by a terrific team both on and off camera and I shall miss seeing them all on a daily basis, especially the fabulous Carter family."

Steve Coogan was asked to host Top Gear

Steve Coogan was asked to present 'Top Gear'.
The 50-year-old actor - who is also known by his character Alan Partridge - was approached by bosses to host the revamped version of the motoring show before Chris Evans and Matt LeBlanc were announced as the new replacement presenters but he refused because he couldn't handle it.
Speaking on 'Alan Carr: Chatty Man' tonight (17.03.16), he explained: "They mentioned me and I have been on three times. In fact, when I'm abroad I get recognised, not for Alan Partridge, but for having been on 'Top Gear' three times.
"That is my claim to fame. They did mention me but I'm not sure I would be very good at that. You know, they always say it's better to say why wasn't he a presenter on 'Top Gear' than why was he a presenter on 'Top Gear'. Think about that."
Meanwhile, Chris and Matt - who have been brought in as the replacements for Jeremy Clarkson, Richard Hammond and James May - have been urged by producers to persuade their celebrity friends to appear on the new show this year.
A source said recently: "'Top Gear' is famous around the world and we usually get good names. Chris and Matt should not have a problem getting the cream of the crop from their contact books."
'Top Gear' is set to hit screens on May 8.

Stars pay tribute to magician Paul Daniels

Paul Daniels' son has led the tributes to his father following the legendary magician's tragic death last night (16.03.16).
Gary Daniels, 46, took to his social networking sites moments after the news broke that the television star had passed away from a brain tumour to honour his dad.
The heartbroken star uploaded a photograph of a very fitting image of a crying rabbit being pulled from top hat with a broken hearted playing card wedged under his paw.
Boy George - whose real name is George Alan O'Dowd - took to his Twitter account to share his "sadness" over the tragic news, writing: "Sad about Paul Daniels. R.I.P"
Keith Chegwin believes the country has lost a "lovely, kind and magic man" and has admitted he'll miss him "a lot."
He wrote: "We have lost a lovely, kind and MAGIC man @thepauldaniels Love you & thinking of u @thedebbiemcgee . I shall miss him 'A LOT' xx (sic)."
Arlene Phillips expressed her sadness and reached out to Paul's wife Debbie McGee during this heartbreaking time.
She said: "Sorry to hear of the death of #PaulDaniels. My thoughts are with you @thedebbiemcge (sic)."
Louis Theroux added: "RIP Paul Daniels, a thoughtful skeptic, enemy of hucksterism and paranormal flimflam, and gifted magician. My condolences to his family."
And Amanda Holden branded the star a "trailblazer."
She said: "RIP @ThePaulDaniels he was a trail blazer for magic and will be missed (sic)."
The legendary television magician sadly passed away at his home in Berkshire at the age of 77 after losing his battle with an incurable brain tumour.
He leaves behind his heartbroken wife Debbie, 57, and his sons Martin, 52, Paul, 55, and Gary.

James Corden wants to pen another Gavin and Stacey

James Corden wants to make a 'Gavin & Stacey' special.
The 37-year-old comedian is desperate to join forces with his former co-writer Ruth Jones again and create a one-off episode of the well-loved sitcom, which ran from 2007 until 2010, after he recently reprised his role as dopey builder and decorator Neil 'Smithy' Smith for a Sports Relief sketch.
He told The Daily Star newspaper: "I'd love to do another 'Gavin & Stacey' special. It's just finding the time. My favourite was the last Christmas special. Writing that with Ruth for two weeks was just brilliant, so I'd love to do another one."
And it seems Ruth - who played larger-than-life Vanessa Shannesa 'Nessa' Jenkins in the show - is on the same wavelength as she admitted last year that she is hoping to reunite with James and pen a film version of the sitcom.
She said at the time: "We haven't any concrete plans [to write together again] but we will at some stage. It might be a 'Gavin & Stacey special or it might be a film."
The popular programme follows the long-distance relationship of Gavin Shipman (Mathew Horne) and Stacey Shipman (Joanna Page) as they attempt to keep their love alive while living at opposite ends of the country.
The show came to an end six years ago after Smithy and Nessa got together and Gavin and Stacey announced they were having a baby but the finale didn't go down too well with viewers and more than 14,000 signed a petition to get it revived for another series.
