Travis Barker shades update for blood clot recovery

Travis Barker has updated fans on his "road to recovery" after suffering blood clots.
The drummer’s band Blink-182 was forced to postpone dates in the Las Vegas residency last month when his doctor warned him not to perform due to the heath risks.
Sharing a video on YouTube – which shows his journey from discovering the issue to working his way back to normality – Travis wrote: "It’s been the longest 4 weeks without playing drums. I played through two shows in Vegas with infection and blood clots before I was able to get a clear diagnosis from a doctor. Here’s an update on my road to recovery."
While the clip shows the 42-year-old musician visiting his doctor, and receiving the news that while the clots in his arms won’t move to his lungs, drumming will still cause inflammation in his arm.
Travis took to his Twitter last month to reveal he was suffering from blood clots and a staph infection, and tweeted: "Blood clots in both arms and a staff infection wasn’t the news I was hoping for. I’ll be back soon, thanks for all the love & prayers (sic)"
As a result, Blink-182 – completed by Mark Hoppus and Matt Skiba – had to postpone their Las Vegas residency at the Palms Hotel and Casino, on doctor’s orders.
A statement posted on the band’s Twitter read: "Friends, Travis Barker is suffering from blood clots in both arms and unfortunately cannot perform until cleared to do so by his medical team.
"The situation is currently being closely monitored.
"Due to this situation it is with great regret that Blink-182 ‘Kings of the Weekend’ Las Vegas residency dates this weekend must be rescheduled.
"New dates will be posted on the band’s website shortly.
"If you are not able to attend the rescheduled dates, refunds will be available at point of purchase. (sic)"
Travis added: "Drumming is my life and it kills me that I can’t perform for you guys this weekend.
"I hope to be back as soon as I can – Travis Barker."
