Tommy Lee is reportedly seeking a restraining order against his son following their violent altercation.
The 55-year-old heavy metal singer and his son Brandon Lee – who he has with ex-wife Pamela Anderson – had an explosive fight in Calabasas earlier this week, which resulted in Tommy suffering a bruised and bloodied lip.
Initially, Tommy was willing to withdraw the police report following the fracas, in which Brandon was attempting to defend his mother.
But he’s now performed a U-turn and is instead seeking a restraining order because Brandon has refused to offer an apology for the injuries he’s caused, according to TMZ.
Tommy thinks his son has inflamed the situation by discussing their clash in public, citing his father’s drinking as the reason for their disagreement.
In a statement to People, he said: ‘I’m devastated at the events of the last several days that have been a result of my father’s alcoholism.
"I’ve worked tirelessly organising an intervention and it’s incredibly upsetting that it never came to fruition. I wanted my dad’s hopeful sobriety and recovery to be a private family matter but, as a result of his accusations on social media, I feel forced to speak out.
"I have and will continue to cooperate with law enforcement as needed. I love my father and just want to see him sober, happy and healthy."
However, Tommy subsequently took to Twitter to blast Brandon’s claims.
He wrote: "LMAAAO!!!! I’m happier than I’ve been in my entire life. I have a few drinks here & there because I’m f***in retired and enjoying my life. I worked 30+ f***in years I deserve it.
"You didn’t arrange any intervention, you barely spoke to me while u were here. Just coverin ur a**!!, See ya later social media! Can’t read anymore liesss (sic)"
