Tom Kerridge lands weight-loss TV show

Tom Kerridge will share the secrets to his 12-stone weight loss in a new TV show.
The chef – who used to weigh 30-stone – dropped the weight over three years and has landed a TV deal with BBC2 to inspire others to eat healthily.
He shared a picture of himself on Instagram and wrote: "Guys, super happy to announce my new book coming at the end of December (with new TV too!) #LoseWeightForGood (sic)."
The six-part TV series, ‘Tom Kerridge: Lose Weight for Good’, will take the NHS advice about losing weight and adapt it to create some delicious recipes, which 13 volunteers will try out.
He said: "It’s impossible to lose weight and keep the weight off for good if you don’t enjoy what you’re eating.
"The NHS offers really sound advice about how to lose weight so I’ve taken this as the starting point for creating delicious low-calorie dishes people will want to eat every day.
"The cooking techniques mean there’s no compromise on flavour and you’re promised a generous plate of food! I’m hoping this will help more people to lose weight and still love what they eat."
"They’ve all got strong reasons why they want or need to lose weight.
"So they’ve agreed to cut down their calorie intake, and in return I’m providing them with recipes they can make and enjoy at home.
"We’ll have to see how well they get on."
