Tom Holland has Spider-Man shrine

Tom Holland has a Spider-Man "shrine" in his apartment.
The 21-year-old actor shot to stardom when he took on the role of Peter Parker and his crime fighting alter-ego in ‘Spider-Man: Homecoming’ earlier this year, and he has now revealed that although he plays the character on the big screen, he’s a huge fan off-screen too, as his home is adorned with memorabilia of the lycra clad hero.
He said: "In my bathroom, I have all three [of the Spider-Man Pop! figures]. My apartment has become a shrine of Spider-Man stuff. I’m a little embarrassed. It’s like, ‘Look at me, look at me.’"
And Tom still can’t believe he gets to play the iconic Marvel superhero, and he’s proud he can portray a character that young fans of the franchise can "relate to".
Speaking during a Facebook Live chat with People magazine, Tom said: "I think it’s nice for kids to have a superhero they can relate to. It’s hard to relate to Tony Stark. Not many of us are billionaires. Spider-Man is different from Marvel heroes because he’s a kid. Peter Parker’s problems are he doesn’t have enough money for the bus fare."
It comes after Robert Downey Jr. – who plays Iron Man in the cinematic universe – dubbed Tom as the "perfect" actor to take on the role of Peter Parker, after Toby Maguire and Andrew Garfield had previously held the role in past versions of the movie franchise.
Robert said: "Tom is the perfect man for the job. He’s enthusiastic, bright and gifted, a very physically talented guy by virtue of his dance and acrobatic background. He has just the right combination of elements required to bring a new take on the character."
