Tom Daley is set to make a documentary on his life.
The 22-year-old diver has teamed up with ITV to create a short factual film called ‘Tom Daley: Diving For Gold’ as he details the past four years if his sporting career, his preparations for the forthcoming Olympics in Rio, Brazil, and the struggle he faced coming out as gay in 2013.
Amanda Stavri, entertainment commissioner at ITV, added: "Tom is one of Britain’s best-loved athletes and I can’t wait for viewers to see his journey to once again compete in the ultimate level of sporting competition.
"We’ll follow his highs and the lows as well as discovering new insights into both Tom’s sporting and personal life."
The documentary will also follow his relationship with Dustin Lance Black, which he announced via his YouTube account in 2014, as well as their romantic engagement.
Meanwhile, Tom should have no problem playing his life out in front of the cameras as he previously co-presented two series of the celebrity diving show ‘Splash!’
‘Tom Daley: Diving For Gold’ is due to air on ITV later this summer to coincide with him competing in the games.
