EastEnders’ Tilly Keeper doesn’t get recognised in public.
The 18-year-old actress – who joined the BBC One soap earlier this year as Phil Mitchell’s (Steve McFadden) daughter Louise Mitchell – thinks the reason she goes unnoticed outside of work is because she’s always in a school uniform on set, but she has admitted she likes it that way as she can lead a normal life off-screen.
She told the Daily Star newspaper: "Playing someone who’s younger means I’m in school uniform a lot.
"When I’m dressed as me I look very different.
"I’m happy with that because It means I can have a bit of a life outside of the soap."
Tilly is expected to take on her biggest storyline to date as she becomes involved in a "manipulative love triangle".
She teased: "She has befriended Bex Fowler [Jasmine Armfield] and there is a new guy on the Square Shakil Kazemi [Shaheen Jafargholi], and there will probably be a little bit of a love triangle and a lot of jealously."
Meanwhile, reflecting on her short time working with Dame Barbara Windsor, the blonde beauty said she was delighted to meet the "spectacular" actress when she returned to play matriarch Peggy Mitchell for the final time last month.
She previously said: "Barbara is spectacular, she’s so calm and down to earth. She’s so tiny in real life and I’m quite tall, so when we first met she looked me up and down in a really exaggerated way. I don’t think she could quite believe I’d been cast as her granddaughter."
