‘Things can become almost routine’: Megan Barton-Hanson says past loves were boring in bed

Megan Barton-Hanson admits some of her relationships have left her bored in the bedroom.

The bisexual reality TV star has previously dated ‘Love Island’ co-star Wes Nelson, musician Chelcee Grimes and ‘TOWIE’s Demi Sims but admitted that she got into a rut with some of her former loves.

She told The Sun: "Things can become almost routine with a partner. I know what it’s like when I’ve had long relationships, things can become very samey.

"It’s always good to spice things up. The key thing is as long as you’re both comfortable doing it. That’s my main message.

"If it’s there and you want to enjoy it, do it. If not, that’s fine. Don’t be ashamed to reach out and say to your partner you want to do this sort of thing."

Megan, 24, who has just launched her fourth edit with Ann Summers, encouraged couples to try out some sex toys to spice up their relationships, after the Covid-19 lockdown.

She said: "Now lockdown rules have relaxed a little bit, everyone’s preparing for what’s going to happen after," she said.

"I know some couples can get into a rut obviously spending this much time together and stuff. It’s really about toys you can use with your partner to try new things.

"It’s such a bonding experience to do things like this together, to learn and discover things."

Megan – who has been living with her parents throughout the coronavirus pandemic – previously admitted she’s desperate to have sex again.

She said: "While it’s been lovely spending time with my parents, I am feeling a bit frustrated. I can’t wait to have sex again – I think I’ll have a whole other life once I’m no longer living with them.

"I do have a lot of sex toys though – I think self-love is really important, especially during these times."
