Theo Graham is really happy he left ‘Hollyoaks’ with a "happy ending".
The 21-year-old actor bowed out of his role as Hunter McQueen in scenes that aired on E4 on Tuesday (02.10.18) when his alter ego decided to drop his revenge bid against Mac Nightingale (David Easter) in favour of a new life in Brighton with his girlfriend Asha Kaur (Rukku Nahar) and he was pleased his troubled alter ego ended his stint in Chester on a positive note.
He said: "At first I wasn’t sure when I was told about getting with Neeta’s younger sister! That was the last thing I would have guessed.
"But I was really happy that they’ve left it open for Hunter and that he’s got the happy ending that he deserves. He’s been through a lot and I love playing a happy Hunter. I’m glad he got his happy ending in the end."
Theo’s departure came just a few weeks before a dramatic storm is due to hit the village and though he was said not to be a part of stunt week again, he’s happy that he left the show the way he did, rather than being killed off in the upcoming storyline.
Asked if he would have liked to have gone out in the storm, he told DigitalSpy:
"No, it would have been nice to have one more stunt before I went, but I did have the pleasure of being a part of the stunt last year, which I loved doing. So I got to do one stunt in my time there and I can’t complain too much."
Though he doesn’t plan on going back to ‘Hollyoaks’, Theo won’t rule out a return in the future.
He said: "I would never say never. But right now, I feel like I’ve done what I can do in Soapland for now. So my first option wouldn’t be to come back, but I’d never rule it out. ‘Hollyoaks’ is a top place to work."
