The Voice UK set to film without a studio audience

‘The Voice UK’ is set to continue filming without a studio audience.
The ITV talent show – which features Sir Tom Jones, will.i.am, Meghan Trainor and Olly Murs – is poised to press ahead without a studio audience for the first time ever due to the threat of the coronavius pandemic.
Roger Morris – the managing director of Elstree Studios, where ‘The Voice’ is filmed – said: "Whilst we are currently taking strict measures to safeguard the people working on site, we are fully aware that an outbreak at the studios could at any time happen and this could mean that we close and quarantine the areas.
"A number of our clients have closed their offices on site for a number of weeks and we are taking advice daily."
The ITV talent show is scheduled to return to TV screens on Saturday (21.03.20).
Meanwhile, another of ITV’s flagship shows, ”Loose Women’, has also decided to film without a studio audience due to the coronavirus pandemic.
The ticket site SRO Audiences recently revealed there is currently no time frame in place for how long the show will be filmed without an audience.
In a statement, the company said: "We do not know when audiences will return to the show.
"But the gates on which the show will take place are still on the website and you may add yourself to the waiting list so that, if audiences are admitted back to the show on that date, we can contact you to let you know."
