The Stone Roses release first single in 21 years

The Stone Roses have unveiled their first single in 21 years.
The Manchester indie legends – comprised of singer Ian Brown, guitarist John Squire, bassist Gary ‘Mani’ Mounfield and drummer Alan ‘Reni’ Wren – dropped their long-awaited return track ‘All For One’ on iTunes on Thursday (12.05.16).
A Twitter post made on the official Stone Roses account read: "NEW SINGLE. ALL FOR ONE. AVAILABLE HERE NOW," alongside a picture of the single’s cover artwork.
It was speculated the band would make a major statement this week after posters of lemons – the group’s insignia – began appearing in Manchester, North West England.
The track is the first new studio material from The Stone Roses since the B-sides ‘Moses’ and ‘Ride On’ which were included on the single ‘Ten Storey Love Song’ taken from their second album ‘Second Coming’ released in 1995.
The Stone Roses reunited in 2012 and their two massive concerts at Heaton Park in Manchester were attended by 150,000 people.
The foursome promised new material when they confirmed they were getting back together and this year they have been busy recording their next LP at producer Paul Epworth’s studio in north London.
When previously asked how the album was coming along, Ian said: "glorious".
Meanwhile, The Stone Roses are to play a series of summer shows at Manchester City’s Etihad Stadium next month and they will also travel to Dublin and New York for concerts, as well as headlining the T in The Park festival in Scotland.
