The Real 2020 Games pushed back to 2021

‘The Real 2020 Games’ has been postponed until 2021.
ITV’s celebrity Olympics-style show – which is due to be hosted by Holly Willoughby, Freddie Flintoff and Alex Scott – has been pushed back to next year due to the ongoing coronavirus crisis, just weeks after it was announced the Tokyo 2020 Olympics were halted until 2021.
An insider told The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre TV column: "The ongoing pandemic has been a nightmare for TV shows and schedulers and moving ‘The Real 2020 Games’ was no exception."
The new show will see a host of famous faces tackle  various Olympic events, with the javelin and shot put among the   challenges.
Fortunately, the presenting trio have renewed their contracts for the following year.
The insider added: "Holly and Freddie’s contracts have been redrawn, along with their co-star Alex Scott’s, and it took some planning.
"These three are key to the show’s success, as they are such big names and were a perfect fit for hosting the ‘Games’.
"So the team making the show went all out to secure them again in 2021.
"Their schedules are all very busy and since a lot of shows are being delayed until next year, it took a lot of effort to get all the ducks in a row."
What’s more, soap star brothers Ryan and Adam Thomas, as well as their ‘Love Island’ star brother Scott, are set to take part in the challenges.
The insider added: "The Thomas brothers have given the green light to taking part and now the casting team are working on getting new stars to come on and have a go."
