Warner Bros. are already developing a sequel to ‘The Lego Movie’.
The computer-animated comedy directed and penned by Phil Lord and Chris Miller, has been in development at the American production company since 2008 and is due for release later this month.
According to The Wrap.com, ‘The Internship’ writer Jared Stern is already working on the script for a follow-up with Michelle Morgan.
‘The Lego Movie’ is produced by Dan Lin and Roy Lee and edited by David Burrows and Chris McKay.
The film tells the story of Emmet – voiced by Chris Pratt – who is mistaken as being the greatest Master Builder who can save the Lego universe.
He teams up with wizard Vitruvius (Morgan Freeman), female fighter Wyldstyle (Elizabeth Banks), Batman (Will Arnett), unicorn/kitten hybrid Uni-Kitty (Alison Brie), Benny (Charlie Day), and a pirate Metalbeard (Nick Offerman), in an attempt to unlearn instructions and use his imagination to defeat the evil tyrant Lord Business (Will Ferrell), who is determined to destroy the Lego.
