The Jump to return next year

‘The Jump’ is set to return next year.
The winter sports show may have tallied up eight injuries in the last series alone but, after an investigation into health and safety standards, bosses have decided to recommission it.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "For good and bad reasons ‘The Jump’ was one of the most talked about shows on television last year. It’s the only reality show of its kind — and it gives it something else compared to other shows.
"The uncertainty and the occasional injury make it all the more interesting. An official announcement will come in due course, but from Channel 4’s point of view it’s a done deal."
The programme, which sees stars attempt various stunts such as the skeleton, bobsleigh, snowskates and ski cross, came under fire earlier this year when Olympic gymnast Beth Tweddle broke her neck while taking part in the show.
Heather Mills also suffered serious ligament damage, Rebecca Adlington dislocated her shoulder and ‘Made in Chelsea’s Mark Francis-Vandelli broke his ankle.
But they weren’t the only ones as Joe Swash put his shoulder out, Sarah Harding injured her leg, Tina Hobley dislocated her shoulder and Ben Cohen knocked his teeth out.
Meanwhile, bosses are currently on the hunt for a new batch of celebrities to try their luck on the Austria slopes.
