The Hills returning to TV

‘The Hills’ is returning to TV.
MTV have announced their popular reality show – which starred the likes of Heidi Montag, Spencer Pratt, Audrina Patridge, Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner, and Kristin Cavallari and ran for six seasons from 2006 to 2010 – will return as ‘The Hills: New Beginnings’ in 2019.
The programme was unveiled at the MTV Video Music Awards on Monday (20.08.18), and Heidi, Spencer and Audrina reunited on the red carpet at New York’s Radio City Music Hall alongside fellow ‘Hills’ stars Jason Wahler, Justin Bobby, Stephanie Pratt and Frankie Delgado.
A teaser for the show has already dropped, and sees footage of Los Angeles shown while Stephanie says: "It’s like we’re all growing up. It’s weird."
The new programme will reunite original cast members alongside their children, friends, and other familiar faces, and follow their personal and professional lives in Los Angeles.
It is currently unclear who else will feature on the show, but Kristin is unlikely to be a part of the reunion because of her and husband Jay Cutler’s commitment to her E! show ‘Very Cavallari’.
A source told People magazine: "She can’t do the show because she has a contract with E!
"But she’s still close with Heidi [Montag] and Spencer [Pratt] and is excited for them."
Kristin has previously admitted she wouldn’t trade her time on ‘The Hills’ "for the world".
She said: "It got me to where I am today."
But she admitted she can’t bear to watch old episodes of the show.
She added: "If I did watch them I would cringe. I think MTV played them a couple summers ago and my husband Jay put them on as a joke to mess with me. It was definitely cringeworthy — I know what I did! I know what happened."
‘The Hills’, was a spin-off of ‘Laguna Beach’ and followed Lauren Conrad as she tried to make a name for herself in the fashion world. But Lauren left in season five, and Kristin took over as the lead star.
