The Germein Sisters want to see more female headliners

The Germein Sisters would like to see more female artists headlining festivals.
The Australian pop group – comprised of sisters Georgia, Ella and Clara Germein – are heading to the Isle of Wight Festival this weekend, which sees Queen with Adam Lambert and The Who headlining.
However, they’d love to see more ladies ‘rocking out’ at musical events.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, the enthusiastic threesome – who worked with Irish producer Billy Farrell, known for his work with Westlife and The Corrs – said: "There’s so many great female artists out there at the moment, rocking out and doing really well on these main stages so it’s great to see that and we look forward to seeing more of them in the future."
The girls also praised Ellie Goulding, Chvrches and Haim for killing it on the main stage at festivals.
They said: "It’s always great to see females up on stage rocking out, it’s definitely something we like seeing. I guess it’s each to their own who wants to play. There’s so many great female artists out there and it’s great to see them doing so well, like Ellie Goulding and Chvrches, Haim."
Following a successful show at IOW festival last year the girls have been promoted to the Big Top stage and are looking forward to debuting new music from their yet-to-be-released album, including the first single ‘100 Days’.
They said: "We recorded our brand new album just at the end of last year and we’ve just finished the mastering stage of everything. So we’re looking forward to debuting a lot of those new songs at the festival! Really, really excited about that."
The Germein Sisters perform at the Isle of Wight Festival on Friday (10.06.16).
