The Duchess of Cambridge is "thrilled" Prince Harry has found a girlfriend who is a "keeper".
The 34-year-old royal is reportedly proud of her 32-year-old brother-in-law for dating Meghan Markle, who she believes will be around for the long haul, because she only wants the best for the flame-haired prince.
Speaking about Catherine – who is also known as Kate Middleton – and her view on Harry’s beau to Woman’s Day, a source said: "Kate is thrilled Harry has finally found a girlfriend who looks like being a keeper.
"Kate only wants the best for her lovely brother-in-law – and Meghan looks like she fits the bill."
And it is believed Catherine – who married Prince William in 2011 and have three-year-old son Prince George and 18-month-old daughter Princess Charlotte together – "remembers" how it feels to be in the spotlight whilst romancing a royal and wants to pass on her experience and tips to help Meghan cope being in the limelight.
The source continued: "[Catherine] remembers what it was like to date a prince and be the most talked about girl in the country."
And Catherine is allegedly planning to give the ‘Suits’ star advice on romancing a prince and on how to act around the royal family, including the Queen.
Whilst it has been reported Meghan should act in a "formal" manner, Catherine will supposedly advise the 35-year-old actress to act naturally and just be herself.
The source said: "Meghan will need to keep things formal until invited to relax. Still, ultimately Kate will be telling her just to be herself."
Meanwhile, Kensington Palace has confirmed Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are officially dating last week with a statement.
It read: "His girlfriend, Meghan Markle, has been subject to a wave of abuse and harassment. Some of this has been very public … the outright sexism and racism of social media trolls and web article comments.
"Prince Harry is worried about Ms Markle’s safety and is deeply disappointed that he has not been able to protect her. It is not right that a few months into a relationship with him that Ms Markle should be subjected to such a storm."
