Teri Hatcher was "sweating" when she snuck flour into the UK in her suitcase.
The 55-year-old actress flew over to the UK to take part in the 2018 version of ‘The Great Celebrity Bake Off for SU2C’, and decided to pack her own flour after producers realised it wouldn’t be the same as what she uses in the US.
Speaking on the ‘Off Menu’ podcast, she said: "The producer called me and said, ‘It’s just dawned on me our flour is different to your flour. If you’ve been practising with this stuff, it might not work with what we have here.’ So I brought my own.
"I went over with two big suitcases packed with 30lb of flour. I was sweating it out on the plane – I thought ‘I am completely getting arrested for this’."
The ‘Desperate Housewives’ star was crowned Star Baker after her biscuits and gravy muffins earned a handshake from judge Paul Hollywood, and she baked an incredible rainbow showstopper cake, which contained 48 eggs.
Teri became a "huge fan" of the baking show when it first aired on US Netflix, and she was thrilled when she was offered to be a part of the charity special.
She added: "I was one of the first people in the States to be a huge, huge fan, so when the offer came to me to do a thing for charity, I was like, ‘What? Of course I want to do it!’
"I kept saying, ‘I can’t believe I’m in this tent!’ I loved it."
