Taylor Swift claims she has been a victim of slut shaming.
The 26-year-old singer – who has written about a number of her high-profile past relationships in her music – says she wishes she could warn her 19-year-old self that she would be judged for who she dates.
During a tour of her home for Vogue’s ’73 Questions’ video series, she said: "If I could talk to my 19-year-old self I would say, ‘Hey, you know, you’re gonna date just like a normal 20-something should be allowed to, but you’re going to be a national lightning rod for slut-shaming."
Meanwhile, Taylor recently celebrated her one-year anniversary with boyfriend Calvin Harris, 32, and revealed that the Scottish DJ gave her an unusual Christmas present.
She said: "My boyfriend planted an olive tree in my yard for Christmas."
Although she is one of the most successful stars in the world with a doting boyfriend and a high-profile girl squad, Taylor admitted she can still be vulnerable.
During the interview Taylor was asked: "What’s one thing you still have from your childhood?" and, surprisingly, answered: "My insecurities."
She also admitted to Googling herself but says she wishes she hadn’t.
And her advice for anyone hoping to follow in her footsteps by breaking into the music industry was practical but equally surprising, with Taylor stating: "Get a good lawyer."
