Taylor Swift has given Thomas Rhett "the best music advice".
The 26-year-old country singer has revealed the ‘Bad Blood’ hitmaker has always encouraged him to pursue a career in the music industry and he considers the blonde beauty as a "very very big advice giver".
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz about his experiences with the pop princess, he explained: "Me and Taylor actually grew up in the same town and knew a lot of the same people so when I first met Taylor so we sort of had that in common. And you know, every time me and my wife have been around Taylor she has been nothing but encouraging and given me honestly the best music advice you could ask for."
Although Taylor – who began dating the ‘Night Manager’ actor Tom Hiddleston after ending her 14-month relationship with Scottish DJ Calvin Harris earlier this year – has been embroiled in an on-going feud with Kanye West over his ‘Famous’ track, Thomas has admitted the 26-year-old has nothing but praise for the star.
And Thomas has revealed he Taylor has taught him to embrace trying new things and to be fearless.
He explained: "She just is always so positive about being your own person and obviously her music portrays that. Being your own person, not being afraid to put out music that is different."
The ‘Die A Happy Man’ singer has revealed he was shocked to learn Taylor was determined not to have her music streamed for free, after she penned an open letter to Apple Music’s CEO refusing to let them stream her hit songs without a fee.
He explained: "She [Taylor] is able to take flack when you’re trying to take action against different sounding music, which is what we’re doing right now."
Meanwhile, Thomas is set to go on tour in November this year.
