Taylor Swift drops 6th album Reputation

Taylor Swift has dropped her sixth studio album ‘Reputation’ – and released a heartfelt letter to her fans.
The 27-year-old star’s latest record was released today (10.11.17) in the UK, and shortly before midnight on Thursday (09.11.17) in the US, and fans who have purchased a physical copy will have been treated to a note by the star in which she admits her "mistakes" have been used against her.
In the note, Taylor discusses her early dealings in the public eye and the highs and lows of fame – which has seen her publicly fall out with some stars and hit back at them in her tracks – and she also hits out at people for "trivialising" her songwriting.
She writes: "I’ve been in the public eye since I was 15 years old. On the beautiful, lovely side of that, I’ve been so lucky to make music for a living and look out into crowds of loving, vibrant people. On the other side of the coin, my mistakes have been used against me, my heartbreaks have been used as entertainment, and my songwriting has been trivialized as ‘oversharing’. (sic)"
Taylor also admits she has learned a lot about people recently, including that she only knows her friends in a "certain light" and warns supporters about the "after-effects" of social media.
She writes: "This is the first generation that will be able to look back on their entire life story documented in pictures on the internet, and together we will all discover the after-effects of that. Ultimately, we post photos online to curate what strangers think of us. But then we wake up, look in the mirror at our faces and see the cracks and scars and blemishes, and cringe. (sic)"
The letter concludes with a cryptic ending.
She writes: "Let me say it again, louder for those in the back …
"We think we know someone, but the truth is that we only know the version of them that they have chosen to show us.
"There will be no further explanation.
"There will be just reputation."
‘Reputation’ features a collaboration with Ed Sheeran and Future, titled ‘End Game’, and her recently released singles ‘Look What You Made Me Do’ and ‘…Ready for It?’.
The 15-track album – produced by Jack Antonoff, Max Martin, Shellback and Taylor herself – is her first record for three years since ‘1989’, which was released in October 2014.
