Susie Amy ‘thrilled’ with Gary Lucy reunion on Hollyoaks

Susie Amy has confirmed she has joined ‘Hollyoaks’ – and is "thrilled" to be reuniting with Gary Lucy.
The 36-year-old actress will team up with her former ‘Footballers’ Wives’ co-star – who plays Luke Morgan in the Channel 4 soap – 14 years on from starring alongside one another, and the brunette beauty cannot wait for a "really special" reunion between the pair.
She said: "I’m delighted to be joining ‘Hollyoaks’ and my friend, Gary Lucy for a brilliant storyline.
"It’s a character they’ve been planning for a while and I’m thrilled to be involved.
"It’s always a pleasure to work with a friend – but this in particular is going to be really special."
Gary – who re-joined ‘Hollyoaks’ this summer after 15 years away – is also "really looking forward" to teaming up with Susie once again.
He said: "I love Susie Amy. She’s an absolute joy to work with and such a lovely person.
"I loved working with her the first time around and I am really looking forward to working with her this time around in ‘Hollyoaks’."
Details of Susie’s character are still being kept under wraps for now, but she is certainly going to cross paths with alcoholic Luke.
He is in for some shocking scenes over the next few months as his rapist Mark Gibbs – who is played by Colin Parry – is to return to the village.
Gary and Susie played Kyle Pascoe and Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe in the popular Noughties TV drama – based around fictional football club Earls Park – but she was sadly killed off after 2003’s second series when lost her battle with anorexia. The start of series three began with her funeral scenes.
Former ‘Hollyoaks’ star Gillian Taylforth played Jackie Pascoe, Kyle’s mum, in the series, which ran for five seasons from 2002 to 2006.
