Susie Amy is pregnant.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress has taken to her Instagram account to show off a picture of her baby bump, and revealed she is due to give birth in January.
She wrote: "For the first time – maybe in my life – I can’t wait for January!! (sic)"
Susie’s ‘Hollyoaks’ co-star Gary Lucy couldn’t resist a little quip about fathering her baby.
The pair play former couple Luke and Scarlett Morgan on the Channel 4 soap, and they portrayed on-screen lovers, Kyle Pascoe and Chardonnay Lane-Pascoe, in former drama series ‘Footballers’ Wives’ in the early Noughties.
He wrote: "F**k! Did we ? No ? S**t ?!!! (sic)"
The 37-year-old actress was inundated with messages of congratulations from several of her pals, following her announcement.
TV presenter Jenni Falconer wrote: "Congratulations!!! You look gorgeous. X (sic)"
Former ‘EastEnders’ actress Lucy Benjamin messaged her: "I didn’t know. Fab news and you look amazing xxx (sic)"
Susie appeared on Matthew Wright’s talkRADIO show yesterday (22.10.18) and afterwards he took to Twitter to praise her for looking "blossoming, blooming and beautiful".
He tweeted: "Damn good seeing @SusieAmy today: blossoming, blooming, beautiful. Wishing u all the best with your pregnancy. Not long to go now !! (sic)"
Earlier this year, Susie admitted she "adored" working with Gary again when her alter-ego Scarlett returned to the village.
She said: "I adore him – we’ve got amazing memories of working together in the past – and it’s such a joy to get to work together again, with a totally different character dynamic this time.
"He hasn’t changed a bit!"
