‘Good Morning Britain’s Susanna Reid thinks her "TV marriage" with her co-host Piers is "irresistible" to viewers.
The 46-year-old presenter thinks her on-screen chemistry with her breakfast show co-host, who she regularly bickers with on screen, is unique and "amazing" and says the proof it works is the fact that ratings are up.
She said: "It’s been amazing. ‘GMB’ viewers are up, which is fantastic. I think we really know what we are doing now.
"We know the show or the programme that viewers are tuning into watch. Piers coming into the team, people love the relationship we’ve got. They find it irresistible, or they think ‘eek one of them has gone too far’. We offer something really distinctive, I do genuinely think that. It is not like anything in breakfast television."
The brunette beauty admitted Piers "winds her up" but her partnership with the controversial presenter – who is famous for ruffling feathers on the show – is "evolving".
She told The Daily Mirror newspaper: "I enjoy how viewers react to my relationship with Piers on the sofa. It’s evolving – like any good TV ‘marriage’.
"He winds me up no end, but I also like him. It’s an impossible-to-predict recipe of mutual respect, irritation, frustration & admiration but it works."
Susanna – who split from her long term partner Dominic Cotton – with whom she has sons Jack, 15, Finn, 13 and Sam, 12 in 2014 – added she feels settled in the role.
She said: "I have worked with a lot of on-screen partners in my time. I have yet to work with anyone I didn’t get on with. I feel settled I am here for the foreseeable future, I am committed, I want this to carry on."
