Surprise Surprise to be axed?

‘Surprise Surprise’ is set to get axed.
The tear-jerking feel-good programme, which has been fronted by Holly Willoughby since its revamped return in 2012, is just one in a long list of ITV shows reportedly being lined up to get the chop next year as part of a huge channel shake-up.
A television source told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "By 2018, it’s unlikely that any of these formats from yesteryear will still on the screen. It’s time to try out new stuff and everyone is very excited about what’s in the pipeline."
Vernon Kay’s ‘All-Star Family Fortunes’, which he’s hosted since 2006, is also among those being dropped as it hasn’t been seen on screen since last June and isn’t expected to bounce back with a new series any time soon.
Meanwhile, Phillip Schofield’s ‘All Star Mr & Mrs’ and Keith Lemon’s ‘Through the Keyhole’ will return to the box later this year with a new stash of episodes but it’s thought they too will be pushed into the background within the next two years.
A spokesperson for ITV said: "All the titles remain in the mix for next year and it’s pure speculation they may not return."
However, although bosses are considering new ways to spruce up the channel, it’s believed producers aren’t keen on giving up the hosts – including Holly, Vernon, Phillip and Keith – and have vowed to sign them all up to front the new shows.
