Vick Hope and Graziano Di Prima’s first dance on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ will be the jive to Portugal. The Man’s ‘Feel It Still’.
The Capital Breakfast Show presenter and the "Italian stallion" will need to get their feet moving quickly to impress the judging panel on September 22, as they will be doing a routine in the style of the Swing dance which is a variation of the Jitterbug.
Appearing on the radio show with Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay on Monday morning (10.09.18), Vick revealed she would be "nervous" about doing a "fast" dance when she sets foot on the ballroom on the BBC one show for the first time.
Roman said: "In a Capital Breakfast first, and I believe a ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ first, Vick Hope we are about to reveal live on air what dance you will be doing on ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ this weekend."
He then asked Vick: "How are you feeling about this?", to which she replied: "I’m quite nervous because I know that I don’t want to do something too fast because it’s a baptism of fire, it’s a bit difficult."
Graziano then opened a golden envelope, and revealed: "So the first dance that we are going to do this week is …. the jive!"
Vick laughed: "Did I not just say I don’t want it to be fast. That sounds dangerous."
Before revealing what music they would be performing their jive to, Vick said: "You want something that bangs."
Her dance partner announced: "It’s ‘Feel It Still’ by Portugal. The Man."
Impressed with the choice, she said: "That’s perfect, I love this!"
Vick and Graziano are up against the likes of Susannah Constantine and Anton du Beke, Katie Piper and Gorka Marquez, Stacey Dooley and Kevin Clifton, Dr. Ranj Singh and Janette Manrara, Faye Tozer and Giovanni Pernice, and Lee Ryan and Nadia Bychkova in the battle to lift the 2018 Glitterball trophy.
Vick presents Capital Breakfast with Roman Kemp and Sonny Jay.
