Stevie Wonder is faster act to sell out BST

Stevie Wonder was the fastest artist to sell out this year’s Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park.
The 65-year-old ‘Superstition’ hitmaker – who is set to headline the music extravaganza in July 10 – was Amazon’s fastest sell-out "ever", rivalling Justin Bieber’s ‘Purpose’ world tour and Elton John’s ‘Wonderful Crazy Night’ tour when pre-sale tickets for the festival became available earlier this week.
Speaking about the momentous feat Geraldine Wilson, General Manager at Amazon Tickets, said: "We are delighted to see such a huge interest in the music legend Stevie Wonder who’s headlining this year’s British Summer Time at Hyde Park. With tickets going on general sale today, Amazon customers had the opportunity to snap up presale tickets 48 hours earlier, ensuring fans secured a ticket to see the icon at the festival of the summer."
Stevie joins previously announced BST at Hyde Park headliners Massive Attack, Florence + The Machine, Mumford & Sons, Take That and Carole King.
Despite Stevie Wonder’s pre-sale tickets making history with fans swooping to get their hands on the early bird tickets, more Amazon tickets will go on general sale today for £74.90.
