Stevie Wonder helped Corinne Bailey Rae love music again

Stevie Wonder helped Corinne Bailey Rae fall back in love with music.
The 37-year-old singer became close friends with the ‘Superstition’ hitmaker after her first husband, Jason Rae, died of an accidental drug overdose in March 2008, but it was the advice he gave her when they performed at the White House in 2010, to honour Sir Paul McCartney, that made her feel confident to return to the spotlight and make a comeback.
Speaking exclusively to BANG Showbiz, Corinne – who is now married to Steve Brown – said: "He has been a big help to me with lots of advice. I felt like I never really went away from music, but there was definitely a time when I didn’t hear as much a music. We did an event with Sir Paul McCartney at the White House and he was there and he was talking to me and I found it really useful."
The ‘Put Your Records On’ singer will support the Motown legend when he performs at Barclaycard presents British Summer Time Hyde Park on July 10, and is worrying about fitting in all three of her albums into the short set.
She said: "This is really hard because we are playing for 45 minutes. It’s three records so we’ve got to squash it down. It’s music from all three of the records. We are going to play a cover and we just want to make it so we can fit in as much as possible and help everyone have a good time."
