Steven Spielberg wants to cast Ariana Grande in a movie.
The ‘Focus’ hitmaker caught the eye of the 69-year-old director, known most recently for his impressive work on ‘Jurassic World’ and ‘The Wolf of Wall Street’, when she took to the stage over the weekend for ‘Saturday Night Live’.
A source told the New York Post newspaper: "She’s had plenty of acting offers, but many more people are starting to talk since she was on ‘Saturday Night Live.’ "
But, although Ariana is keen to broaden her horizon, the 22-year-old actress isn’t ready to wave goodbye to the music industry just yet in order to kickstart a dazzling film career.
The insider added: "She’s all about her music right now."
However, the brunette beauty is no stranger to the nitty-gritty film world as she made a cameo appearance in ‘Zoolander 2’ and appeared in Fox’s ‘Scream Queens’ last year.
And, although she’s not yet ready to hang up her microphone, Ariana has her eye on a superhero flick.
A source said: "Ariana wants to do movies. She wants to do a better-critiqued version of a film that would loosely follow her career but make it more acclaimed than panned."
