Steve Austin returning for WWE Raw 25

WWE Raw 25 will mark the return of ‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin for the first time since WrestleMania 32.
The Hall of Famer and legendary superstar – who has held the WWE Championship six times and won a record three Royal Rumble matches – will make his long awaited comeback when the sports entertainment giant celebrates the 25th anniversary of its flagship show later this month on January 22.
In a statement, the company confirmed: "The past and present converge for the momentous 25th anniversary of Raw.
"Stars from throughout the red brand’s quarter-century history will be joining in on the celebration in New York. Stone Cold Steve Austin was the cornerstone of the Attitude Era and one of the most iconic Superstars in its history."
The 53-year-old star – nicknamed the Texas Rattlesnake – last appeared at Wrestlemania 32 in 2016, when he was joined by fellow Hall of Famers Mick Foley and Shawn Michaels to fend off the League of Nations, which was made up of Rusev, Bad News Barrett, Alberto Del Rio and Sheamus.
Meanwhile, the highly anticipated special edition of Monday Night Raw – which will take place at the Manhattan Center and the Barclays Center – will see a host of iconic WWE superstars making their returns.
Amongst them will be The Undertaker, who appeared to retire from WWE following his match with Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 last year in Orlando, Florida.
Also confirmed to appear are the likes of D-Generation X (Michaels and Triple H), The New Age Outlaws (‘Road Dogg’ Jesse James and Billy Gunn), Jim Ross, Jerry Lawler, The Dudley Boyz, Ric Flair, Scott Hall and Kevin Nash.
They’ll be joined by the likes of Ron Simmons, JBL, The Godfather, The Bella Twins and The Million Dollar Man for a star-studded episode of Raw as past and present collide.
