Steve Aoki has baking team

Steve Aoki has a "team" of cake makers who accompany him around the world.
The 39-year-old DJ is known for smashing baked goods in the faces of revellers at his shows and he has a team of culinary experts who craft the creations to make them the ideal consistency for smashing.
He said: "It can be as many as 10 [cakes per show]. The crowd now expect it from the show.
"We have a special team of cake makers that travel the world with us getting the consistency just right – the desired effect is explosive rather than edible."
While Steve also likes to spray his audience with champagne, he has discovered they don’t welcome getting wet as much if it’s just with water.
He told GQ magazine: "Oddly enough people differentiate between being wet from a magnum of champagne to the face, to wet from a Super Soaker filled with tepid tap water.
"We used to bring out all these water pistols and just hose the audience down but for whatever reason people didn’t dig it."
Steve previously insisted he would never throw a cake at anyone who didn’t want it.
He said: "The way I pick who gets caked is generally by who shows me the most energy and is screaming for it."
And though he claimed the unusual feature was his form of expression, he had considered putting a stop to the messy antics because of the abuse he received about it.
He said: "I still can’t help but ask myself… should I stop caking people? Will that stop the haters from hating? Stop giving the trolls more content to target me with? I even ask myself, are the cakes and the rafts taking away from the art of my culture, DJing? I’m sure many people feel that I am because things I do are not part of the norm."
