Stephanie Waring has completed the line-up for the forthcoming series of ‘Dancing on Ice’.
The ‘Hollyoaks’ actress – who is known for playing Cindy Cunningham in the Channel 4 soap – has been announced as the last celebrity to take part in the skating show reboot, which will hit screens early next year, and, although she’s "nervous", she can’t wait to get stuck in.
Speaking on BUILD in London, the 39-year-old star said: "I’m very nervous. It’s so much to take on, but I think I’m up for the challenge. As long as I’ve got my kids supporting me, that’s all that matters. I’ve been watching some clips on YouTube. Especially Jorgie Porter who’s one of my all time favourites. I’ve only had a week of training so far, so we’ll see! The first day was pretty tough. I fell over once, but that wasn’t on camera, thank god. I was going backwards and I went to push myself off and I lost my footing and sort of landed on my elbow."
Stephanie will have a tough task on her hands as she’ll go up against Coronation Street’s Antony Cotton and Brooke Vincent, track and field athlete Perri Shakes-Drayton as well as cricketer Monty Panesar, rugby hunk Max Evans, Jake Quickenden, Love Island’s Kem Cetinay, Great British Bake Off’s Candice Brown, Good Morning Britain’s weatherman Alex Beresford, TV personality Donna Air and Bucks Fizz’s Cheryl Baker.
It’s also been confirmed that acid-tongue Jason Gardiner has reclaimed his position on the judging panel alongside Jayne Torvill and Christopher Dean – who previously mentored the contestants but have now switched positions – and Diversity dancer Ashley Banjo.
Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield will return as hosts.
