Stephanie Davis is finding it "hard work" juggling ‘Hollyoaks’ and motherhood.
The 26-year-old actress admits it has been "tough" learning lines and shooting scenes while bringing up her two-year-old son, Caben-Albi, but she is "really grateful" to be back on the Channel 4 soap portraying Sinead Shelby.
Speaking at the Virgin Media British Academy Television Awards at London’s Royal Festival Hall on Sunday (12.05.19), she exclusively told BANG Showbiz: "It’s [‘Hollyoaks’ is] amazing, it’s hard work, and being a mum but it’s all good.
"It’s tough, I’m not going to lie, but I’m really grateful to be where I am. I’m enjoying today, I’m taking it in.
"I’m really happy."
Stephanie spent two hours applying her make-up to "cover the mum bags" before the TV BAFTAs, but admits she is feeling "really calm" at the moment and is so happy with life.
She added: "He’s good. Terrible twos, but we’re doing it, we’re doing alright.
"Yes, yes [sleepless nights], can you tell from the bags? I’m wearing a lot of make-up today. It took a few hours, two hours. To cover the mum bags, to make them go away.
"I feel like a strong, independent woman. I’m just feeling good, I’m feeling happy. I feel really calm as well, just happy to be where I am."
Steph is also up for the Best Actress prize at the upcoming British Soap Awards, and the star recently admitted she was so surprised with the nod she thought it was a joke.
She wrote: "THANKYOUUUUUUUU!!!! To everyone who voted for me!!!! Is this a joke?? Is this even reall???? Cannot beleive I’ve been shortlisted for BEST ACTRESS! From where I was a year ago to now – I haven’t got the words!!!!!!!!!! I love you all!!
