Stephanie Davis is in the "process" of arranging a paternity test.
The 23-year-old actress hasn’t heard from her ex-boyfriend Jeremy McConnell since she fell pregnant with her son Caben-Albi – who was born on January 13 – but she’s still agreed to have the DNA test carried out on the little one to prove the Irish hunk, who she split from in May last year following a series of blazing rows, is his father.
Speaking to OK! magazine, she said of her former flame: "I haven’t heard from Jeremy directly for nine months. That’s [the paternity test] in the process of being arranged, but any tests that happen will be dealt with privately. I’m a new mum and dealing with all that brings, so I will deal with everything in my own time and I won’t feel pressured. My priority is bring up my son and giving him all the care he needs."
Although the 26-year-old heartthrob is adamant he has nothing to do with Caben, the former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress is "100 per cent" certain he’s the father of her child.
She explained: "My son is 100 per cent Jeremy’s baby – and a paternity test will prove it. Jeremy said a long time ago that I wasn’t even pregnant, and then that he wasn’t sure if he was the dad. He had to stand by that throughout my pregnancy."
Stephanie still hasn’t decided whether she will allow Jeremy – who she met in the ‘Celebrity Big Brother’ house in January last year – to see the little one in the future.
She said: "I don’t know what will happen in the future but for the moment I’m enjoying being a first-time mother. My only priority at the moment is my son."
