Stars pay tribute to Dale Winton

David Walliams has been left "heartbroken" by Dale Winton’s death.
The ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judge was close friends with the ‘Supermarket Sweep’ host and has been left devastated after he passed away on Wednesday (18.04.18) at the age of just 62.
David simply tweeted: "Heartbroken. #DaleWinton (sic)"
David’s ‘Little Britain’ comedy partner, Matt Lucas, also paid tribute to his late pal.
He shared a photo of them together and wrote: "Will always have fond memories of lovely Dale (sic)"
Vernon Kay – who is married to ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ host Tess Daly – has been left in "shock" by the passing of his mentor.
He posted on Twitter: "We are in shock…Just heard the news about Dale!
"From the moment I started in TV he was always good for advice, always a great laugh with a dig in the ribs and a wink! We will raise a glass tonight Dale. RIP."
Graham Norton was another who took advice from the veteran presenter.
He tweeted: "Dale Winton gave me the best bit of showbiz advice I ever got – Don’t quit the hit! Thank you Dale. X (sic)"
‘Benidorm’ actress Sherrie Hewson paid tribute to the ‘National Lottery: In It To Win It’ host as a "lovely man".
She tweeted: "62 is no age it’s hard to believe he’s gone. Good night lovely man xxxxx.(sic)"
Blue singer Anthony Costa was "devastated" when he heard his "old friend" had passed away.
He tweeted: "No no no my old friend #dalewinton has died I’m absolutely devastated one of the most kindest men you could ever meet…(sic)"
Paddy McGuinness shared throwback photos of Dale in his ‘Supermarket Sweep’ heydey.
He captioned the post: "Sad news. Back in the day Supermarket Sweep was the programme to watch. Dale Winton was the perfect host, he made it all look effortless. RIP (sic)"
Dale’s sad passing was confirmed by his agent Jan Kennedy on Wednesday evening.
Jan said in a short statement: "It is with great sadness that we can confirm the passing of Dale Winton who died at home earlier today.
"While we know many will share this terrible loss, we ask that you respect the family’s privacy at this time of grief."
At the time of writing, no further details are known.
