Stacey Solomon sees ‘Loose Women’ as "therapy".
The 28-year-old star – who has sons Zachary, nine, and Leighton, five, from past relationships and is dating actor Joe Swash – hopes she can help other people with her honesty on the show, just as much as it helps her to be candid about her experiences.
She said: "It’s always nice to share personal experiences. It’s like therapy for me and being honest can help other people, too."
However, Stacey admitted she does sometimes have to think twice before she speaks because she doesn’t want to upset her loved ones.
She said: "Sometimes it’s difficult though. I have to think, ‘Should I speak about this and who will it affect if I do?’
"If I’m going to say something really personal, I’ll run it past my family or Joe first to make sure they’re comfortable with it.
"Things I say get taken out of context all the time though.
"Like when I said Joe doesn’t come to see me when I’m on my period. That was a joke but everyone took it seriously."
Joe, 36, insists his girlfriend has never made any revelations on the show that he doesn’t want her to, and he just laughs when he hears about what she’s been discussing on the daytime programme.
He said: "I rarely get a chance to watch it but my friends will text me to tell me what she’s said. It makes me laugh!
"She hasn’t said anything too personal about my life yet."
The former ‘X Factor’ hopeful admitted her open nature on the show means she often gets stopped by fans wanting a chat, but she doesn’t mind.
Stacey told OK! magazine: "It’s always lovely and I’m hardly Justin Bieber so I can still go about my business. People are always saying hello and I always think I know them so I spend ages chatting to them thinking they’re someone I’ve met before."
