Stacey Dooley has been urged to separate herself from ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Kevin Clifton.
The 32-year-old TV presenter has been advised to stay away from Kevin, 36, after her ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott claimed she was dating the professional dancer, as "the scandal" could negatively impact her career".
A source close to the star told The Sun: "Stacey has plenty of work on at the moment and her agents don’t want that to be effected in the wake of the scandal.
"They’ve quietly suggested that the recent stories could be bad for her image and hope that she will listen to the advice.
"Stacey does what she wants at the end of the day but they think it’s best if she keeps a low profile and that means staying away from Kevin for now."
This news comes after Stacey spoke out about Sam’s claims that he learned about the pair’s romance when the pro dancer text the ‘Strictly’ champion saying "I love you".
She wrote on Twitter: "Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story. I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here. (sic)"
But the documentary maker insisted she only wishes "happiness and success" for Sam in the future.
She wrote: "Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward. (sic)"
Stacey and Kevin – who split from his wife, fellow dancer Karen Clifton, last year – clinched the Glitterball Trophy in December, which was his first triumph on the Latin and ballroom show, and he thanked her for helping him "fall in love" with dancing "all over again".
