Stacey Dooley insists there are "two sides to every story" after her ex-boyfriend Sam Tucknott claimed she is dating her ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ partner Kevin Clifton.
The 32-year-old TV presenter has broken her silence after Sam claimed in an interview that he learned about the pair’s romance when the pro dancer text the ‘Strictly’ champion saying "I love you", but following his comments, Stacey has broken her silence.
She wrote on Twitter: "Anyone with any adult life experience knows there are 2 sides to every story.
"I haven’t got the time or energy to correct some of the utter nonsense I’ve read on here. (sic)"
But the documentary maker insisted she only wishes "happiness and success" for Sam in the future.
She wrote: "Re Sam, I loved him v much and only wish him happiness and success going forward. (sic)"
Stacey’s comments come after Sam blasted Kevin as an "absolute rat".
He said: "The blame is with Kevin. He’s an absolute rat."
Sam claims he and Stacey had already agreed to split when he discovered she was dating Kevin, and says he "confronted her" when he saw the message.
He recalled: "I was getting my stuff to leave. Stacey was in the loo.
"Her phone went and it was Kevin Clifton – ‘I love you’ with a red love heart.
"I grabbed the phone and confronted her. She said she’d tell me everything I needed to know."
Stacey and Kevin – who split from his wife, fellow dancer Karen Clifton, last year – clinched the Glitterball Trophy in December, which was his first triumph on the Latin and ballroom show, and he thanked her for helping him "fall in love" with dancing "all over again".
Speaking on spin-off show ‘It Takes Too’ hours after their win, Kevin wiped away tears as he said to Stacey, he said: "I’m feeling a bit emotional right now. I just want to, for God’s sake, I just want to say thank you to you, not only for the hard work you have put in.
"I have had one of the craziest years of my life, you’ve just been so nice to work with, I’ve enjoyed it so much. I know I said this the other day, but, I’ve fallen in love with dancing all over again and ‘Strictly’ all over again. I love this show. Thank you for everything."
