‘Great British Bake Off’ winner Sophie Faldo has landed a role in a Hollywood film.
The 33-year-old TV star – who won the popular baking show last year – has recently returned to her day job as a stunt woman, and Sophie is now set to appear alongside Rosamund Pike and Clive Owen in ‘Three Seconds’, an action movie that’s due out later this year.
A source explained to The Sun newspaper’s Bizarre column: "After her victory Sophie could have pursued loads of deals. Instead she focused on her stuntwoman training.
"Perhaps she feels she’ll have more success in film-making than baking – or it’s where she’s more in demand."
Sophie is an expert in taekwondo and equestrian stunts, as well as being an accomplished baker.
But the London-born star previously admitted she relishes stunt work, even though she’s not the best actress.
She shared: "I’m not an amazing actress but I love being on set and I love the physical side of it. I love being behind the scenes."
Meanwhile, Sophie also previously admitted she could have missed out on winning ‘The Great British Bake Off’ as both she and one of the runners up, Steven Carter-Bailey, missed the original application deadline.
The former army officer said: "I actually missed the deadline. We were working hard at the time and I let it slip by the wayside.
"I said, ‘Oh well, I wasn’t going to get picked anyway’ and then they extended the deadline. I think Steven missed it too."
