Simon Webbe’s new album will sound like "Coldplay meets The Killers versus Lighthouse Family".
The 38-year-old singer has kept his music career quiet in recent times, trying to juggle his busy television career but the former Blue member has promised fans they can expect a new spin of music in his upcoming album.
He revealed: "If you like Simon Webbe music and like my voice then; I like to say it’s eclectic, it’s quite well written so quite a worldly sound, if you think Coldplay-y Killers-y versus Lighthouse Family.
"It’s all in my head, it’s all in my head. Like I said it’s been ten years since I put out a solo album. I’ve just been waiting for the market to shift and I think I understand social media now and how it all works and I’ve got a few ideas about how to start selling my music."
However, the father-of-one – who has Alanah with his ex-girlfriend Nicola Jones – also admitted he misses performing with Blue.
He added: "Being with the boys is nothing compared to being solo at all, I mean being with the boys is just something I love doing. There’s nothing better than sharing the stage, looking across at your mate who knows what’s going on and you look at someone and you know exactly what he’s thinking and just have a really good time.
"Obviously as a soloist is something that I need to get off my chest, there is a lot of subjects that I’m talking about, there’s a lot of life experiences that I’ve been through and I think I can share that."
