Simon Cowell held talks with Goldie Hawn to appear on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
The 56-year-old music mogul reportedly discussed the possibility of the ‘First Wives Club’ star joining the judging panel on the ITV show last year but ended negotiations when David Walliams, Amanda Holden and Alesha Dixon all agreed to return.
A source told The Sun newspaper: "Goldie’s not just a huge name, she’s got a brilliant sense of humour and isn’t afraid to say what she thinks. She’s like an even more glamorous Sharon Osbourne.
"However, Simon loves having David, Amanda and Alesha by his side and as soon as they agreed to join him again he ended all other discussions."
But there is a glimmer of hope that Goldie, 70, may soon get a spot on the panel after Alesha previously admitted she once considered joining ‘The X Factor’.
She shared: "There’s always rumours. Back in the day, I thought about it [joining ‘The X Factor’] because I love singing. That’s what I do but I think ‘The X Factor’ wouldn’t suit me because it’s too serious. It’s very serious in that the judges are against one another and I think that bit would make me uncomfortable.
"I’ve always liked the idea of mentoring. But I think ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ suits my personality more."
However, Alesha previously gushed about her close bond with her fellow ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ judges, admitting they act like "teenagers" together.
She shared: "On paper Simon is the boss, but we do make sure we keep him and David in order. All four of us revert to being teenagers on set. It’s so much fun. We laugh so much. There is so much energy and I can’t help but go home feeling really grateful that I get to work on one of the best shows in the country.
"And whenever we get together, everyone misbehaves. Everyone is a bit cheeky with each other. The banter is so strong and we are all so relaxed in each other’s company."
