Simon Cowell is siding with Amanda Holden amid her ongoing row with Phillip Schofield.
The 59-year-old music mogul has come out in support of the blonde beauty, insisting her job on ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ is safe despite her feud with Phil.
Simon said: "I respect her for standing up for herself."
The outspoken TV star said his decision to reunite with Amanda for ‘Britain’s Got Talent’ underlines his loyalty to the 48-year-old presenter, who has previously co-hosted ‘This Morning’ alongside Phil.
He told The Sun on Sunday newspaper: "Am I on her side? She’s back on the show. I can’t make it clearer than that."
Simon revealed he’s called Amanda on the phone in order to reaffirm that she has a future on the ITV show.
He also admitted that Amanda appreciated the show of support.
He explained: "People were ringing to ask if Amanda was going to be fired, and as her boss I called her to say that wasn’t the case.
"I wanted to give her that reassurance that it was never ever going to affect her relationship with me and ‘Britain’s Got Talent’.
"She is hired for the Champions version and any other shows she wants to do.
"Yes, I did respect her for standing up for herself. But I spoke to her as her employer and she appreciated the call."
