Adele earns £30m without new tours or albums

Adele earned £30 million in 2013 without touring or releasing any music.
The 'Skyfall' singer's Melted Stone company revealed a turnover of £30,475,299 for the past financial year, which was filed this week with Companies House.
According to reports in The Sun newspaper, Adele took home £12.1 million, which included a £4.9 million pay package and a £7.2 million dividend.
Her huge income was earned despite not releasing any albums or singles, and she didn't go on the road to play a run of live shows.
However, the success of her album '21' has boosted her bank balance, despite being released three years ago.
Despite a year of relative inactivity, the £30 million equates to almost £84,000, although this is still a lower figure than some of her fellow pop stars.
'Material Girl' Madonna brings in an estimated £247,000, while collectively One Direction earn £164,000.
However, her predicted daily earnings are still more than retired soccer superstar David Beckham, whose predicted total £79,000.
Although Adele has been quiet musically for a while, she has been raising her 16-month-old son Angelo, with work now starting on her highly-anticipated third album.

Woody Allen denies molestation allegations

Woody Allen has hit back at allegations he molested his daughter Dylan Farrow.
The iconic filmmaker - whose adopted child recently spoke out claiming he had abused her at the age of seven - has penned an open letter in which he denies any wrongdoing and insists she has been "exploited" by her mother Mia.
He wrote in the New York Times: "Of course, I did not molest Dylan. I loved her and hope one day she will grasp how she has been cheated out of having a loving father and exploited by a mother more interested in her own festering anger than her daughter's well-being."
The 'Blue Jasmine' director also revealed while Dylan believes the allegations, he thinks she feels that way as a result of his ex-partner convincing her it happened.
He said: "Not that I doubt Dylan hasn't come to believe she's been molested, but if from the age of 7 a vulnerable child is taught by a strong mother to hate her father because he is a monster who abused her, is it so inconceivable that after many years of this indoctrination the image of me Mia wanted to establish had taken root?"
In his in-depth essay, Woody insisted his ex-wife even "fabricated" the location of the abuse, adding it was a too "cramped" a space for someone who suffers with claustophobia.
He continued: "Even the venue where the fabricated molestation was supposed to have taken place was poorly chosen but interesting.
"Mia chose the attic of her country house, a place she should have realized I'd never go to because it is a tiny, cramped, enclosed spot where one can hardly stand up and I'm a major claustrophobe.
"The one or two times she asked me to come in there to look at something, I did, but quickly had to run out."
Woody initially faced allegations in 1992 during a custody battle with Mia, but they were later dropped without charge.

The Wanted ‘shafted’ by Max George

The Wanted feel "shafted" by Max George.
The 'Walks Like Rihanna' group are set to go their separate ways following their 'Word of Mouth' tour later this year and in the wake of Max's confession that tensions have been high within the band for some time, it's believed his bandmates Tom Parker, Nathan Sykes, Jay McGuiness and Siva Kaneswaran are upset by his behaviour.
A source close to Tom told new! magazine: "Not only has he sold his story but there are deep-rooted problems within the band that he's the source of, which have been ongoing for a while."
Max admitted in a recent interview that the band's personal lives - including their high-profile relationships - had disrupted the harmony within the group, and claimed he didn't get along with Siva's fiancee Nareesha McCaffrey.
Despite tensions within The Wanted, the teen heartthrobs' farewell tour will still go ahead in March.
The insider added: "Max feels bad for selling his story and is desperately trying to stay in the boys' good books, so there's no way he wouldn't do the tour. He also needs the money."

Kristen Stewart prefers the natural look

Kristen Stewart prefers looking natural.
The 'Twilight' actress has been made the face of fashion house Balenciaga's new perfume Rosabotanica and sports an exotic flower sash and smoky eye make-up in the adverts, but claims she prefers a more natural look when she's off duty.
She said: "I never wear a lot of make-up. That was never someting I liked. But black eyeliner is always in my bag.
"I like the messy look. I always wash my face before I go to bed, but I never clean around my eyes and that looks great in the morning."
Fashion designer and creative director of Louis Vuitton, Nicolas Ghesquière, has also chosen the 23-year-old star for his new campaign and she admits she likes to inspire fashion.
She told German VOGUE: "I like to be a muse. You meet so many talented people who inspire me. I like the creative energy at photo shoots."
Kristen - who will next appear on screens in 'Camp X-Ray' as a guard at Guantanamo Bay - also revealed that she only achieves her stunning red carpet looks with the help of stylists.
She said: "I really like getting dressed up for photoshoots or movie premieres. And I like bold eye make-up - if it suits the event. But to be honest, everything you see on the red carpet is down to the hard work of stylists. In my private life I prefer a natural look."

Jennifer Garner ’emotional’ about returning to work

Jennifer Garner was "emotional" about going back to work so soon after giving birth.
The 41-year-old actress - who has children Violet, eight, Seraphina, five and 23 month old Samuel with her husband Ben Affleck - found it tough starring in Oscar-nominated drama 'Dallas Buyers Club' while she was still nursing her young son, and was anxious about having to keep people waiting on set so she could feed him.
She told Radio Times magazine: "I was very nervous - it's hard to leave your baby at home and go to work. And I was a nursing mum, so I was extra emotional about it. By, by the end, it made me remember how much I like my job and that I have to keep things more in balance.
"I've nursed each of my babies and I've worked during that first year of having them. So, if we talk brass tacks here, that means I've had to work with a pump and feed the baby at lunch. I'm versed in how to say, 'In about ten minutes I'm going to need to disappear', but on this movie we moved so quickly, there was never time.
"So everyone had to sit and wait for me, which made it emotional because I hated making a crew wait, but I couldn't start weaning my baby just because of a movie."
The '13 Going on 30' star admits her children only have a basic understanding of what their parents' careers involve because they're too young.
Jennifer said: "They've always had some kind of sense of it. My daughter turned two while I was doing a play in New York, and if you asked her what I did she'd say, 'She has her hair and make-up done and takes bows on stage.' That's because I'd put her down for a nap during matinees and she'd wake up just in time for curtain call."

Eva Mendes pulled over by police

Eva Mendes was allegedly caught using her cell phone while driving.
The 'Training Day' star narrowly avoided a ticket when she was pulled over by a police officer on a bicycle in Los Angeles after he spotted her chatting into the device in her grey Lexus SUV.
The 39-year-old actress was reportedly given a piece of paper but apparently talked her way out of a ticket, as a law enforcement source told gossip website TMZ.com that they have no record of a citation.
The brunette beauty has had a difficult time recently as rumours surfaced she split from her boyfriend Ryan Gosling after almost three years together over Christmas.
But a spokesperson for the actress told E! News the breakup reports were just rumours.
The '2 Fast 2 Furious' star also sparked speculation she was pregnant when she refused to go through an airport security scan recently.
But her publicist said: "She has never gone through the scanners at the airport; she has always elected to be hand-checked instead."
Eva previously admitted she had no desire to become a mother.
She said: "I'm certainly not thinking about being a mom. I can't imagine it. I'm too selfish."

Philip Seymour Hoffman remembered as a ‘lovely person’

Philip Seymour Hoffman's priest will remember him as a "lovely person."
Fr. James Martin S.J., who helped the late actor prepare for his role as Father Flynn in the 2008 movie 'Doubt' and presided over his funeral mass at the Church of Saint Ignatius Loyola in New York on Friday (07.02.14), following his death from an apparent heroin overdose last Sunday (0202.14), says the actor was "very down-to-earth" and "fun to be with."
The Jesuit priest told PEOPLE.com: "He was a lovely person, very down-to-earth. I learned about humility from him. He never put on airs. Whenever he talked about being in a movie, he would just say, 'Yeah, I got this job.' He would never say, 'I'm the lead.' Or 'I'm starring in 'Capote.' ' Then I'd read about it in the papers and learn what it was."
The duo, who first met in 2003, spent a lot of time in the church together when the priest taught the Oscar-winner how to celebrate mass for his role in 'Doubt'.
He added: "He was really fun to be with. He was so intent on getting everything right. I remember he asked if a priest would have 3 x 5 cards during a homily. Small details. He listened to what I had to say, but he also knew his craft. When you watched him act, you got a sense of what the word 'vocation' really means. He was born to do this."
The late actor's family members, including his estranged partner, Mimi O'Donnell, and their three children, Cooper, 10, Tallulah, seven, and Willa, five, were among the 400 mourners at his funeral mass.
Many of his famous friends, including Meryl Streep, Diane Keaton, Julianne Moore and Cate Blanchett, also attended the ceremony.

Blake Lively indulges on Southern food

Blake Lively indulged on rich Southern food during a three-hour feast in Winthrop, Massachusetts.
The former 'Gossip Girl' star, who loves to cook and is preparing to launch her own lifestyle brand, took a break from filming a sex trafficking TV special for PBS to tuck into a huge family-style lunch at Blackstrap BBQ restaurant with her camera crew on Tuesday (04.02.14).
The eatery's owner Kate Economides told E! News: "Blake was so down to earth, just like a girl next door. You can tell she is a very caring person, using her celebrity status to do good."
She added: "Whenever I came to the table, Blake made it a point to look me in the eyes and say thank you."
The 27-year-old 'Savages' actress, who is married to Ryan Reynolds, was extremely complimentary of the food, which included smoked chicken, corn fritters, fried pickles, onion rings, collard greens, baked beans and corn bread, and told the chef she "nailed it" before leaving.
The blonde beauty previously admitted she doesn't diet and work out to stay in shape.
She said: "I don't really need a personal trainer, or watch what I eat. I can't start the day without a hot chocolate, or finish it without a few squares of dark chocolate. It's good for my mood!"

Elizabeth Olsen hates ‘awkward’ sex scenes

Elizabeth Olsen finds sex scenes "incredibly awkward."
The 'In Secret' star, who is dating 32-year-old model Boyd Holbrook, tried to create a safe environment with her co-star, Oscar Isaac, before filming intimate moments for the new movie, in which they play secret lovers in 1860's Paris.
The actress told E! News: "It's incredibly awkward. But you have to feel safe and you have to feel respected and you just provide that for each other. You create a safe environment. In those situations you're just thinking about what's the choreography her? It's like a dance in a way. You get it done."
The 'Kill Your Darlings' star also had to wear corsets in the film alongside her co-star Jessica Lang but they weren't as uncomfortable as she thought they would be.
She said: "The corsets are kind of fun. The most uncomfortable thing is figuring out how to sit in between scenes. Jessica [Lange] and I would just prop up our legs on a table and just be like this huge hoop scoop reclined. It's not that uncomfortable."
Elizabeth is set to turn 25 on February 16 and is planning a very artistic celebration.
She said: "My friends and my boyfriend are throwing me a painting party! We're painting."
She added: "I'm terrible. That's why it sounds like fun."
