Shirley Ballas says her breast implants made her ill.
The ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ judge has been "feeling fine" ever since she had her implants removed six months ago, and she insisted her fake boobs left her "ill with the flu or cold".
She told the Daily Mirror newspaper: "This was the first time I have not been sick all winter.
"On last year’s tour I was really poorly but, touch wood, I have been fine."
The 59-year-old star – who had her boobs enlarged in 2002 – had her implants taken out and also underwent a breast lift late last year.
She first revealed her decision in September 2019 after suffering a cancer scare and discovering a history of the illness in her family.
Now, she added: "I was always ill with the flu or a cold. A lady who did my book said it could be the breast implants.
"Then I got that job on ‘Strictly’ and did ‘Who Do You Think You Are?’ and I realised I had cancer going back in my family.
"At the mammogram the nurse said they could not see behind the implants. What people don’t know is that it is not the implant but what grows around it. I have all the photos of what grew around my chest."
Back in November, Shirley returned to work on ‘Strictly’ just 18 hours after she underwent the procedure, and she decided to "take minimal painkillers" to keep her on form.
She explained at the time: "It is [painful] and it was for the show, but I chose to take minimal painkillers. Because I didn’t want to take anything when I was on the show, so to speak."
