Sherlock Holmes 3 adds screenwriter to re-write script

‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ has added screenwriter James Coyne.
According to Deadline, Coyne will re-write the script for the upcoming movie, a sequel to the second film in the franchise, ‘Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows’.
Guy Ritchie is set to return to direct the upcoming movie, which will feature Robert Downey Jr. as the titular character and Jude Law as his assistant Dr. John Watson.
The scriptwriter will reunite with Lionel Wigram and Warner Bros. after penning ‘Treasure Island’ for the studio.
‘Sherlock Holmes 3’ has been talked about since October 2011, and until now Iron Man 3’s Drew Pearce had been the only writer thought to be attached to penning the script.
Last year, Law insisted the cast want to make the third film in the franchise "smarter and cleverer" than the first two motion pictures.
He said: "I think Warners want it, and there’s a lot of want from us as a team. We want it to be better than the other two. We want to make sure it’s smarter and cleverer, but in the same realm.
"I hate celebrating anything I’ve done, but I’m so proud of those films. I think it was Joel Silver who said, ‘Take it out of that dusty room and put it on the street’."
