Sheree Murphy would "love" to land a role in ‘Coronation Street’ or ‘EastEnders’.
The 42-year-old actress is well up for gracing the cobbled streets of Weatherfield or becoming an Albert Square resident after previously appearing in a hat-trick of soaps, mostly recently as Dakota Davies in ‘Neighbours’.
She said: "I’d love to do another soap although the only ones left for me to be in are ‘Corrie’ and ‘EastEnders’. I’ve done ‘Hollyoaks’, ‘Neighbours’ and, of course, ‘Emmerdale’."
Sheree’s first taste of soap acting came in 1998 when she landed the role of Tricia Stokes in ‘Emmerdale’, and while she departed the Dales when her alter-ego was killed off after part of the Woolpack fell on top of her during a huge storm, she is delighted when people still recognise her.
The former ‘Celebrity Masterchef’ star said: "I still get recognised as Tricia, which is crazy. I left ‘Emmerdale’ 15 years ago this year.
"It’s lovely, though, that people still remember her."
As well as appearing as Eva Strong in ‘Hollyoaks’, Sheree – who is married to former Liverpool footballer Harry Kewell – is now co-hosting a Sunday radio show on Hits Radio alongside Wes Butters, and she is enjoying her latest gig.
She added to Soaplife magazine: "This is the first time I’ve ever presented on radio. I’ve been interviewed on radio before, but it’s very different being on the other side.
"There are so many buttons and switches in front of us, but luckily Wes does most of the button pushing.
"Wes and I get on great, so it just feels like two mates chatting. You forget people are listening at home or in their cars. I try not to think about it too much, though, otherwise the nerves will kick in!"
