Shayne Ward has been left "hugely embarrassed" after his sex tape was reportedly leaked online.
The ‘Coronation Street’ star – who plays Aidan Connor in the long-running soap – has been left red faced after a x-rated clip of him allegedly masturbating, which was recorded when he was single, surfaced on various social media platforms on Wednesday (19.10.16).
A source said: "This video is years old. Shayne was single at the time and it happened when he was on tour with ‘War of the Worlds’. He’s so embarrassed this has happened. The conversation between him and the supposed woman have left him hugely red faced."
The former ‘X Factor’ winner is said to have had no idea the clip had been shared until now.
The insider told The Sun newspaper: "He can’t believe anyone would do this. He thought it was a private chat and a one-off and only realised he had been catfished after the video emerged today."
The publication also reports that the video was up for sale on social media site Twitter under an account, which has since been deleted.
The tape surfacing will no doubt come as a shock to the 32-year-old singer’s partner Sophie Austin, who is expecting the couple’s first child.
The former ‘Hollyoaks’ actress and dark-haired hunk announced their baby news in August.
At the time, a source said: "Sophie and Shayne have been keeping the exciting news to themselves to enjoy the moment in private.
"But mum and baby are doing amazing and they’ve started telling their nearest and dearest."
Meanwhile, Shayne is not the only ‘Coronation Street’ star to be victim to a sex tape leaking.
Kym Marsh – who plays Shayne’s [Aidan] on-screen brother – was left devastated when she heard a raunchy video reportedly starring her was being touted to the highest bidder earlier this year.
A newspaper claimed they’d been offered a 57-second clip, which allegedly showed the 40-year-old beauty performing a sex act on a man as well as X-rated images.
At the time, Kym said: "As you can imagine, I felt immediately sick to my stomach and was extremely upset – it’s been devastating for me and my family.
"I can’t say too much because the police are investigating and I don’t want to affect anything that they are doing – it’s really important that whoever is behind this is caught."
