Shawn Mendes says Camila Cabello will "take over the world".
The pair collaborated on the 2015 single ‘I Know What You Did Last Summer’ and now that Camila has left Fifth Harmony to launch her own solo career, Shawn is tipping her for huge success.
He told Billboard: "It would take a big force to stop her from taking over the world. She was such a great writing partner. I barely had to speak and she knew exactly what I meant."
Camila’s manager Roger Gold is also excited for what the future will bring for his client and he called Fifth Harmony an "incredible school".
He explained: "She has done her 10,000 hours. Fifth Harmony worked incredibly hard 11-and-a-half months of the year. It was an incredible school."
Producers Andrew "Pop" Wansel and Frank Dukes admitted they were surprised by her "vision" for her solo career.
Andrew said: "I never underestimated her talent, but I was not expecting her to have such a powerful vision," and Frank added: "It’s a real collaboration. Sometimes it’s like a band just jamming."
Meanwhile, Camila insisted she’s "only got love" for her former Fifth Harmony bandmates.
The 19-year-old singer hasn’t spoken to Lauren Jauregui, Ally Brooke, Dinah Jane Hansen and Normani Hamilton since she dramatically quit the group two months ago to launch her solo career, and wishes they were on better terms.
Asked if she is still in touch with the other girls, she said: "No. I don’t want to get into the details of that, because it was really intense and it’s hard for me to talk about. It makes me sad.
"I hoped that it would be a peaceful turning of the page and we would root for each other. But I only got love for them.”
