Shaun the Sheep to get sequel

‘Shaun the Sheep’ is set to get a sequel.
Aardman and StudioCanal have announced that they’re bringing back the famous cheeky farm animal and his furry friends for another installment of the hit animation.
David Sproxton – the co-founder and executive chairman at Aardman – said: "Shaun’s move to the big screen proved such a success with audiences around the world that he and the flock are very excited to be embarking on another big screen adventure."
Details on the plot are being kept tightly under wraps until the film goes into production early next year but bosses at Aardman have teased the next movie will see Shaun, who thinks and acts like a person in a barnyard, embark on yet another hilarious journey, which is set to be his biggest and most exciting adventure yet.
Bosses at the production company were eager to get started on a sequel after the original movie ‘Shaun the Sheep’ pulled in $106 million worldwide at the box office.
Ron Halpern, EVP of International Productions and Acquisitions for StudioCanal said: "All of us here at StudioCancal are Aardman fans. To get to see the wonderful way they work in Bristol as they have for 40 years now through to the first ‘Shaun the Sheep’ movie was an experience we will always cherish.
"Luckily we get to start again with what will definitely be another film showcasing Aardman’s unique humour, creativity and craftsmanship."
Richard Starzak will return as director for the second movie, although Mark Burton – who co-directed the first film – is not expected to return this time around.
Justin Fletcher voiced Shaun, while comedian Omid Djalili played Trumper but it’s not yet known whether they will return for the next installment.
