Shaughna Phillips has threatened to leave the ‘Love Island’ villa, after her partner Callum Jones dumped her for Molly Smith.
The 25-year-old democratic services advisor was left heartbroken this week when Callum returned from Casa Amor with the model, also 25, on his arm, and in Friday’s (07.02.20) episode of the ITV2 reality show, Shaughna admitted she doesn’t think she’ll be able to remain in the villa with the new couple.
Speaking through tears in the Beach Hut, she said: "I don’t know how I’m gonna be able to be able to be around him and her. I don’t want to."
And whilst speaking to Paige Turley – who is her best friend in the villa – Shaughna lamented being "the other girl", as she accused the 23-year-old scaffolder of being "s**t" to her but "amazing" for Molly.
Crying and she spoke to Paige, she said: "I knew it. I knew it was coming. Why can I never be the girl, that they just do it for? I’m always the other girl, and it’s so annoying. I have to put up with this s**t and then they go off and be amazing for someone else. I don’t even want to look at him. I always go for these boys, always."
During the episode, Shaughna also got the chance to speak to Callum, but played it cool as she refused to cry in front of him.
She told him: "I felt like you were definitely forcing it because you thought I was the safety. I think you would have known there was something missing before you went into Casa Amor, and you would have maybe spoke to me about that, but you never.
"Don’t insult me and try to say you’ve done me a favour. I don’t know how I’m going to live in this villa now with that. How am I not going to feel uncomfortable? This wasn’t just a coupling up for me, I genuinely had feelings for you. You’re with her now, and that’s that. It’s just a bit s**t for me."
And when Callum said he just wants Shaughna to "be happy", she replied: "I thought I was."
‘Love Island’ airs every night at 9pm on ITV2.
